Digital Growth Advisory · Bloemfontein · South Africa

Digital Growth by Design.

DGA Digital Growth Advisory helps established businesses make clearer decisions about growth. We connect strategy, marketing, technology and measurement around the commercial questions that matter to your business. Based in Bloemfontein, we work with owners, executives and marketing teams across South Africa. Our starting point is simple: understand the situation before recommending the investment. A new campaign, website or platform should follow a reasoned diagnosis, with a clear purpose and an agreed way to judge progress.

First diagnose. Then prescribe.

Before adding more activity, we establish what your business already has. Your digital footprint includes your website, search visibility, business listings, content, social profiles, advertising, customer reviews and the systems behind enquiries. We examine how these parts connect and whether they tell customers a consistent story. We also look beyond appearances: who responds, how opportunities are qualified, what information reaches your team and whether outcomes are recorded. The aim is to distinguish visible symptoms from the underlying constraint.

Understand the business behind the numbers.

A useful investigation starts with your goals, customers, offer and decision. We agree the scope, people involved and information needed. Then we gather relevant records, listen to the team and research the market, competitors and customer journey. We test explanations against the evidence available, rather than assuming every problem needs the same solution. Where information is missing, that uncertainty belongs in the findings. Our six-step process shows how understanding, gathering, research, evaluation, recommendations and monitoring fit together.

Connect discovery with the next decision.

Customers may encounter your business through search, recommendations, social media, advertising or AI-assisted answers. Those encounters should help them understand your offer and choose a useful next step. Google describes SEO as helping search engines understand content and helping people decide whether to visit a website. Google’s SEO Starter Guide supports that practical foundation. DGA connects discoverability with clear information, credibility and enquiry handling, so visibility is considered alongside the experience that follows it.

Use AI with judgement.

AI can assist research, organise information and support appropriate workflows. It still needs approved knowledge, permissions, checks and human responsibility. Our SAGE Stack approach brings strategy, customer records, automation and reporting into a connected operating picture. Ava introduces one possible customer-facing experience; live assistants depend on an agreed setup. For search, Google treats optimisation for its generative experiences as part of SEO, rather than a separate shortcut. Read its generative AI guidance and our GEO glossary entry for context.

Give leadership a usable report.

A report should help you decide, rather than simply list technical issues. We explain the scope, evidence, findings and limitations, then connect recommendations with commercial priorities. Where appropriate, the next step may be to improve something, run a limited test, investigate further or defer an investment. Our illustrative sample report shows the structure using fictional figures. Actual deliverables depend on the agreed engagement. Responsibilities, measures and review points should be clear enough for your team to discuss and act on.

Work directly with your advisor.

Abrand JH “Abrie” Erasmus is DGA’s founder and Digital Growth Advisor. His focus brings digital strategy, SEO, paid advertising, content, automation and analytics into the same business conversation. The relationship starts with listening: what are you trying to achieve, what have you already built and which decision needs attention? DGA serves businesses in Johannesburg, Sandton, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha and Bloemfontein. These are service areas, not claims of branch offices. Build understanding before commitment.

We value clear explanations, verified sources and an honest distinction between evidence and opinion. Rankings, leads, AI citations and commercial results cannot be promised in advance. Search Console helps monitor a site’s presence in Google, but registration is not a guarantee of inclusion or success; see Google’s explanation. We agree what success means for your business, then review what the evidence shows. Visit our search glossary, explore our newsletters and perspectives, or contact Abrand to start a focused conversation.

Good monitoring also needs context. A change in enquiries may reflect seasonality, a different offer, sales capacity or incomplete tracking. We therefore consider the baseline, the quality of the information and what changed during the review period. Recommendations should remain open to revision when stronger evidence appears. This helps leadership understand the trade-offs behind a decision and gives the people responsible a shared basis for action. The goal is a considered growth system that your team can understand, manage and improve with confidence and accountability over time.

Technical context is linked to primary sources where discussed. These sources explain the technology; they do not endorse DGA. Reviewed 26 October 2026.
