02 / WHAT YOU SHARE

Information we handle

  • Enquiries: contact details and business information you choose to send, such as your business name, website, goals, lead sources and marketing challenges.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: your email address, subscription status, signup and consent dates, consent wording, source of signup and any recorded unsubscribe date.
  • Website operation: the hosting provider may record technical requests, including IP address, requested page, date, time and browser information, for operation and security.

The current Ava assistant is a scripted, guided preview. Its conversation is held in the page while you use it. The enquiry form prepares a draft or downloadable brief on your device. Neither automatically sends your answers to DGA. DGA receives the information only if you send the email or otherwise share it with us.

Sharing enquiry information is voluntary. Without enough contact or business context, we may be unable to respond meaningfully. Newsletter signup requires an email address and an affirmative subscription choice; you can browse the public website without subscribing. Please do not include passwords, identity documents, financial account details or confidential information about other people.

03 / PURPOSE

Why we use it

We use enquiry information to respond, understand your request, discuss scope and provide an agreed service. Subscription records help us manage the DGA Search, Demand & Revenue newsletter and honour opt-outs. Technical information supports secure, reliable website operation.

We rely on consent where required, steps towards an agreement or an agreed service, legal duties, and legitimate interests where POPIA permits. We do not treat an ordinary enquiry as newsletter consent. You may withdraw newsletter consent at any time using the unsubscribe page or by contacting us. The signup form itself does not send an automatic email.

04 / YOUR DEVICE

Cookies & browser features

The newsletter form uses an essential session cookie to protect form submissions and enable the framework download. Blocking it may prevent these functions from working.

The accessibility tool saves your chosen display and reading preferences in your browser’s local storage. These preferences remain until changed or cleared through your browser’s site-data settings.

Optional spoken replies and read-aloud features use your browser or device’s speech service. Depending on the voice and device, speech processing may involve the browser provider’s online service. Turn spoken replies off if you do not want to use that feature. We do not request microphone access or record your voice through the current website.

The current site does not include advertising pixels or visitor analytics scripts. Its videos and recorded welcome audio are served from the DGA website. Links to social networks and other websites take you to services governed by their own privacy policies.

05 / ACCESS & PROVIDERS

Who may process information

Our hosting provider, Register Domain SA, processes website and subscription data as part of hosting the service. Email providers process messages you choose to send and our replies. Access may also be necessary for authorised technical support, professional advisers or a lawful requirement. We do not sell newsletter lists or personal information.

Our current preview does not submit Ava conversations to a live AI model or automatically connect them to a CRM, calendar or calling service.

If a provider processes personal information outside South Africa, applicable POPIA transfer safeguards must be met. Contact us for information about providers involved in a particular enquiry.

06 / CARE & RETENTION

Keeping information appropriately

We retain enquiry and service records only for their business purpose and any applicable legal or recordkeeping requirement. Active subscription records are used to manage your preferences. After an opt-out, a minimal record may be retained to avoid contacting you again and to document the preference.

Subscription records are stored outside the publicly accessible website. The form uses security measures including protected sessions and request validation. No website or email system can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us if you suspect a problem; security compromises will be addressed and notified as required by law.

Closing or refreshing the Ava page clears its current conversation. For information already emailed to us, contact us to make an access or deletion request; closing the page does not remove a sent email.

07 / YOUR RIGHTS

Questions, requests & complaints

Subject to POPIA, you may request access to your information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion where retention is no longer authorised, or object to processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it. We may need to verify your identity before providing or changing records.

Send privacy requests to abrand@digitalgrowthadvisory.co.za. Describe the request without sending sensitive identity documents in the first email.

You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator. Its eServices portal provides a POPIA complaints service. Email: POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

This policy describes the public website. Any client engagement involving additional systems or information will need appropriate terms and privacy information for that work.

08 / KEEPING THIS CURRENT

Policy updates

We will update this page when the website’s information practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. New analytics, live AI or connected services will require a review of this notice and any consent or other safeguards they need.
